Raj was only 18 when he stepped into the catering world. While his friends were out enjoying life, he was working long shifts, late nights, and early mornings, learning the trade from the ground up. For over seven years, he poured himself into kitchens and cafés, gaining the skills and resilience that only experience can teach.
But during those years, Raj saw the same gap again and again: Glasgow was full of places to eat, yet there wasn’t a spot that brought together flavour-packed food with honest, feel-good energy. He knew it could be done, but it wouldn’t be easy.
After graduating, Raj took a risk. Using the money he had carefully saved over the years, he decided to build something of his own. No investors. No shortcuts. Just his vision, his experience, and his determination.
In 2024, that dream became reality when Favourite Spot Café opened its doors.
Today, the café stands as proof that passion pays off. Our menu, built around sourdough toasties, full breakfasts, juicy burgers, and loaded fries, is crafted to bring people together, fuel their day, and remind them that good food is meant to be enjoyed.
